Baby Shoes

I saw this posted on some grief support sites today and thought it was moving. Of course it has special meaning for me now...

Ernest Hemingway was given a challenge: to write a complete story, in under 10 words. Hemingway, known for his brevity, was able to do it in six.

For Sale: Baby shoes, never worn.

It makes me think of the cute little patent leather (turquoise of course) baby shoes with bows that I bought for Sofia before I even knew we were having a girl. Of course I now treasure them and would never consider selling them. These are her shoes and only hers. They now hang from my rear view mirror in the car where I can see them every day.

She would have looked so darn cute in those shoes!!
