A Day With Sofia

I had the day off today so I spent much of it editing photos of our baby, which meant spending hours looking at our little girl.

Here are a couple of the photos:

I placed an order for prints. I can't wait to finally get some photos in frames so I can walk by and see her face every day around the house. This week I bought four new frames just for Sofia and received an early Christmas gift from Sarah & Jeff - a personalized picture frame with her stats, her name and this saying: "Ten little fingers, ten perfect toes, fill our hearts with love that overflows." The frame looks great in our family room.

A friend posted on Facebook today the following quote:
"The shortest distance between joy and sorrow can be measured with just one heartbeat."

Isn't that the truth!!? I still (and probably will for the rest of my life) remember the image of Sofia's rib cage sitting still on the sonogram. It's a haunting memory and something I never want to see again. I miss her.

Thanks for sharing this blog with all of us. So glad you are able to find peace in editing photos of Sofia. Everyday I look to see if you have posted another entry. Know that you and Tim are always in my thoughts. Peace be with you both this Holiday Season.
